Matheson Optometrists has earned the trust of the population of Hampshire and surrounding counties for over 30 years. At our Chapel Street practice you will see the familiar, friendly staff, such as Belinda and Joshua who are always on hand to help with your queries.

Here you will find all the latest and best diagnostic equipment, most of which would not be considered commonplace in your average opticians. We have Zeiss Cirrus OCT equipment, retinal and autofluorescence image capabilities and have therapeutically qualified optometrists in regular attendance. We believe we are able to provide you with a standard of eyecare which was inconcevable not all that long ago. All Matheson Optometrists practices are wheelchair friendly and are suitibly equipped to aid the elderly. Our closest car parks are Swan Street and Waitrose car parks and there is free parking along Lavant street for 1 hour. Outside the practice are single yellow lines allowing for drop off and collection for those that cannot walk too far.

Our Petersfield practice is one of our bigger and busier practices and has a vast range of spectacle frames for you to choose from. Often in attendance are either of our dispenser managers, Nick,or Daniel, who are highly skilled and can guide you with spectacle frame and lens selection ensuring you have the perfect glasses for your needs and desires.

Petersfield is situated on the A3, between Portsmouth and Guildford. It is 20 minutes from Portsmouth and 30 minutes from Southampton.
